How It All Goes Down

- Leah and her father go to Leopoldville to see the results of the election. We're not sure why Nathan Price, a man who doesn't seem to give two sheets of toilet paper about anything other than Mr. J.C., goes to this, but whatever.
- It's June 30, 1960, and Patrice Lumumba has been elected Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo. (P.S. It's not going to end well.)
- In his speech, he says, "We are going to make the Congo, for all of Africa, the heart of light" (2.11.15).
- And everyone cheers their brains out.
