Help Using Shmoop

More

What is a Magic Word and how do I find it?

When your school signed up for Shmoop, our elves sent over our Super Duper Shmooper eKit. In this top secret package were login instructions to set up both teacher and student Shmoop accounts.

What does the eKit it look like?

It's an email (if you're digital) or a piece or paper (if you're analog) that provides a Magic Word, which is the key to unlocking the doors to all that Shmoopy goodness. (Hint: It's not "please," "thank you," or "Open Sesame.") Once you have the Magic Word, the world is your oyster.

All you have to do is follow the steps below:

  1. Go to schools.shmoop.com. (If it says you can't view this site using your current account, click the "log out" link.)
  2. Type your Magic Word into the Magic Word box. Remember: ALL CAPS.
  3. Either create an account or log in with your current account.
  4. VoilĂ ! You are now a Shmooperstar.

If things are still confusing, take this video for a spin. Screenshots save the day.

If you didn't receive your Magic Word, please contact your administrator or teacher. If they don't have it, email sales@shmoop.com with your username, email, school name, and district name, and our Shmooperstar team can give you everything you need.

Except maybe a pug puppy. (We know you need one.)
