Help Using Shmoop
MoreHow do students post to the discussion board?
You've already created your discussion board (or, uh, if you haven't, click here).
Now you want to...actually use it.
Step 1
Go to the Discussion Board tab in your classroom. There, you'll see links for
- a general discussion board for the classroom.
- individual activities that are discussion board-based.

Step 2
When you click those links, you'll be brought to Vanilla Forums, where you can leave comments to guide discussion topics.

Students can then can comment on those discussion topics as well.
Step 3
Once the discussion board is activated, you'll also be able to grade discussion board activities from gradebook.
