For auto-graded quizzes, problem sets, and tests, points are assigned to each question based on the question type. For other activities, rubrics are provided to both students and teachers outlining what students will be evaluated on and the points allotted to the assignment.

Once assignments are submitted, teachers will grade these assignments according to the instructions for the activity and the rubric. Points are recorded within the Gradebook on your Classroom page.

Shmoop does not assign letter grades, only raw scores.

If you're working on a course without a teacher, only the auto-graded questions (multiple choice and true/false) will be graded by Shmoop.
