Natalie Portman was originally going to star as Elizabeth Bennet in the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies movie, but the lead eventually went to Lily James. Portman would have been a bit of an in-joke for both Star Wars and Jane Austen fans. See, Keira Knightley played Natalie Portman's decoy in The Phantom Menace. Then, Keira went on to play Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. If Natalie Portman played the zombifed version of Elizabeth Bennet, it would all have come full circle. (Source)
