How It All Goes Down
- Let's skip a few pages of Caleb talking about water filtration, shall we? (Spoiler alert: this has almost nothing to do with anything that happens in this book.)
- Tris ends up telling Caleb that she is Divergent with an aptitude for three factions: Abnegation, Dauntless, and Erudite.
- She also reveals that she is immune to simulations. (And she can roll her tongue, recite pi to the 147th decimal place, and apply mascara while driving. Quit your bragging, Tris.)
- Tobias sits down next to Tris in the cafeteria just as Marcus sweeps in.
- Marcus says that he would like to return to the city, to the rest of his faction. Tobias agrees.
- Tris isn't sure how to comfort Tobias, but she's not really thinking about that. She wants to find out the truth from Johanna before they leave.
