- Which characters are viewed as heroes? Which characters are taught lessons? What are the lessons that they learn?
- Does the movie attempt to sympathize with its characters or empathize with them? What's the difference?
- Are the racist actions of characters like Officer Ryan or Jean Cabot justified? Does the movie provide an adequate explanation for why these characters act how they do?
- Why do Anthony and Peter see their carjacking as a valiant act of social justice? Are they trying to justify their own criminal actions, or do they actually believe their own rhetoric?
- Why does Graham decide to compromise his own principles? How do you think he will feel about it later?
- Does the movie treat all acts of racism equally? Are some actions viewed as worse than others?
