Character Analysis
Ike Twelvetrees is Jack's best bro for life; these two are like the Carl Weathers and Arnold Schwarzenegger of this universe. Although Ike has a gruff exterior, he's really a sweetheart on the inside, as evidenced by his affection for his kinda adopted son Tommo and his wistful musings about his ladylove. Sadly, Ike's story gets tragically cut short when he's killed during the novel's closing battle.
