Vampire Academy Theme of Transformation

Not since the queen turned herself into a witch in Snow White have we seen so much transformation. Okay, okay, so no one actually morphs into a witch, but there is magic that brings animals—and humans—back from the dead. Although this is the most obvious example of transformation, it's just one of many. Throughout Vampire Academy, characters undergo physical and emotional changes—they fall in and out of love, and change their minds about their friendships and the world in which they live, figuring out who they want to be and how they want to be defined. It's all part of one big theme of transformation.
