Procrustes probably gets the award for the creepiest of all of Theseus's very creepy foes. This crusty (pun intended) old guy has fun by inviting travelers to sleep the night in his bed. (Wait, it's not what you think.) If the person is too short for the bed, he stretches their body to fit. If the unlucky traveler is too tall, Procrustes chops off their feet. As with many of the other villains Theseus meets on the way to Athens, Theseus uses Procrustes's own methods against him and ends up chopping off the old guy's feet. The sixth and last of Theseus's foes gets just what he deserves.
