George Banks, Mary Poppins

George and Mary have two totally different personality types: Mary enjoys having fun and going on magical adventures (even though she rolls her eyes at Uncle Albert's antics), while George is uptight and totally incapable of letting loose. They bounce off each other.

When George demands that Mary explain herself, she responds:

MARY: First of all, I would like to make one thing quite clear.

GEORGE: Yes?

MARY: I never explain anything.

And then Mary just marches off, leaving George behind and befuddled.
