Harry and Marv

Like a lot of bad guys, there's something ridiculous about Harry and Marv. Technically, they're menacing—they scare Kevin the first few times they encounter him—but they exist mainly in order to get beat-up.

As Kevin's antagonists, they pose a big challenge to him. Before, he just had to worry about surviving—a task he was more than capable of completing, it turns out. But Marv and Harry up the ante. Now, Kevin has to prevent his family's house from being looted—the stakes are higher, but the payoff is bigger. Kevin gets to enjoy the pleasure of beating them up, and they get arrested. America is safe and sound.
