Yes, you worked very hard to get your license, and it's immeasurably precious to you, but that doesn't mean you can lock it up in a safety deposit box or hang it on your living room wall beneath two inches of glass. 

You'll need to keep your license on your person—that means you; we highly doubt you own a person, and if you do, we should talk—at all times. This way, you can show it to the nice policeman who pulls you over for going 80mph in a 45mph speed zone, or to the not-so-nice gentleman whose Lexus you hit when doing the same.
