Thelma & Louise Scene 7 Summary

  • In Louise's room, she and Jimmy contemplate their future. Jimmy's pretty miffed that Louise won't tell him what's going on, so he does what anyone would do in that situation, and gets down on one knee. (Duh.)
  • Louise isn't sure she wants to marry this guy, but she's touched that he's interested. And, um, you know, she's also running from the law.
  • Louise lets Jimmy down and bids adieu to him in the motel café the next morning, knowing she'll probably never see him again.
  • At the same café, Thelma prances in, acting totes cray. Louise thinks she's on drugs, but then she realizes that no, Thelma just for once "had a sexual experience that isn't completely disgusting."
  • After a little excitement, Louise inquires as to the whereabouts of the steamy hunk.
  • Thelma left J. D. showering in her motel room with all the cash, of course.
  • Thelma and Louise return to the room to find both J. D. and the cash long gone. Louise has a meltdown. It looks like all is lost.
  • Now, it's Thelma's turn to jump into action. She orders Louise to get her stuff together, 'cause they're hitting the road.
