While the language of the novel itself isn't particularly difficult (if you're a Harry Potter fan you should be able to parse the British phrases like a pro), some of the ideas and concepts can be a little challenging. There are some adult themes—like suicide and the concept of mortality—that may present some difficulty in understanding what the author is trying to portray. Plus, let's face it: parts of this book are pretty haunting.
