Einar Wegener/Lili Elbe Timeline & Summary

Einar tries on Anna's shoes and dress. They look good; he feels good.
Greta suggests they call his new female alter ego Lili.
Einar dresses up as Lili often; she goes as Lili to a ball where she meets Henrik.
But she doesn't want to tell Henrik that she is biologically male, so she breaks it off with him.
Einar reunites with his childhood friend Hans in Paris. Yay.
Also in Paris, Einar decides to commit suicide if he can't live as Lili all the time. Oh no.
With the help of Greta's brother, Carlisle, Einar visits a variety of doctors who give him variations on the same bad advice: give up.
But Greta sends Einar to a doctor who can perform an operation that will change Einar's sex traits from male to female.
In Dresden, Einar visits the Brühlsche Terrace, looks at the Elbe River, and gives Lili the last name Elbe.
Then he has the surgery and successfully becomes Lili.
Greta and Einar divorce, and Lili reunites with Henrik in Copenhagen.
Henrik proposes, and Lili says yes, but she wants one last surgery first: a uterine transplant so that she may have a baby.
The surgery causes a fatal infection, and Lili dies. Sniffle.
