Latika

We don't think it quite does Latika justice to reduce her to a mere "romantic interest." Latika is Jamal's inspiration, his destiny, the reason why he breathes, as the Pussycat Dolls version of Oscar winning song "Jai Ho" would suggest. She's the catalyst for much of the film's action, as Jamal will stop at nothing to find her.

In fact, there wouldn't be much of a story to tell at all if it weren't for Latika.
