The Churchill guns aren't related to Winston. Edwin John Churchill set up E. J. Churchill in 1891 and soon became one of England's leading manufacturers in hunting firearms. There are 11 officer ranks in the British Army, and Major is right between Captain and Lieutenant Colonel. It even comes with a nifty little crown insignia. The Major's father was a Colonel, which is a step above Lieutenant Colonel. The Major's son, Roger, is nothing. We just want to rub that in. (Source.)
