Mrs. Jasmina Ali Timeline & Summary

Mrs. Ali shows up the Major's house to collect the newspaper money, but he almost faints, and he reveals that his brother has just died.
Mrs. Ali makes the Major some tea and offers to take him to the funeral.
During that ride, and another where she takes him to the family attorney's office, Mrs. Ali and the Major form a friendship over a shared love of books.
While planning the town party, Mrs. Ali learns that her friend's assistant, Amina is the mother of her nephew's son.
Mrs. Ali tries to reunite the young couple, but Abdul Wahid, the nephew, moves out of her house and in with the Major.
Mrs. Ali looks spectacular at the party, but she is offended there and decides to leave town, giving her store to her husband's family in exchange for Abdul Wahid and Amina marrying each other.
Mrs. Ali writes the Major, but she doesn't know her brother-in-law isn't mailing the letters.
The Major shows up, and Mrs. Ali decides to run away with him. They make love in a secluded cabin in the woods.
Mrs. Ali and the Major return for Abdul Wahid and Amina's wedding, but a crazy relative has tried to assassinate Amina with a knitting needle.
Mrs. Ali and the Major go to talk to Abdul Wahid, who wants to kill himself.
The Major saves the day but is accidentally shot in the leg. In the hospital, he proposes to Mrs. Ali, and the two are soon wed. Aww.
