Kevin (Macaulay Culkin)’s Timeline and Summary

Kevin bothers his parents and other relatives while they pack to go to France.
The next day, they accidentally forget about him due to a miscount.
Kevin goes bananas (in a good way), after realizing he's got his wish and he's home alone—eating giant bowls of ice cream, etc.
But he also has to survive, buying food and doing laundry.
As burglars try to break into his house, Kevin uses his own cleverness to scare them away. Eventually, they realize he's faking them out—but Kevin overhears them and vows to be ready.
Kevin wishes for his family to come back, and asks a local fake Santa to help make this wish come true. He also makes friends with the snow-shovel guy, Marley, at a church.
When the burglars launch their final assault on Kevin's house, Kevin has prepared a maze of booby traps. They're badly beaten, but catch Kevin in the end.
Fortunately, Marley intervenes, saving Kevin and handing the burglars over to the cops.
The next day, Kevin's anxious family members return, and are impressed with him for surviving when they were gone. It's a happy reunion.
