Rules of the Game
- To begin, the original parties promise to stop any type of nuclear test explosion in the air, in outer space, in the sea, or anywhere else that might not be self-contained enough not to leak hideous radioactive debris into international territory.
- A note is added that states the PTBT will not negatively influence the impact and regulations of a future treaty that bans all nuclear testing, including underground testing. In effect, a total test ban treaty.
- The section rounds out with an instruction that none of the parties are allowed to participate in atmospheric, outer space, or underwater nuclear testing anywhere, nor are they allowed to encourage other nations or entities to conduction nuclear testing. That would be sneaky.
