  • He wants everyone to believe that by arguing for the annexation of the Philippines, the Republicans are acting totally un-American.

  • Remember how much we Americans hated the British—so much that we started a revolution against them? Well, the Republicans are acting totally worse than the British. If we could have a revolution against them, we really should.
