Point of View

Third Person (Limited Omniscient)

With a few fleeting exceptions, we see just about every moment in this movie from Harry Potter's point of view. Daniel Radcliffe just can't get a break, can he?

This is actually kind of cool—it keeps us in on the mystery with Harry. What does the boy wizard keep dreaming about? Why does Dumbledore keep avoiding him? What is the Order not telling him? What is Voldemort looking for? Who installed all that jazzy black tile at the Ministry of Magic?

These unresolved questions end up pushing Harry towards danger in the end. Because he's been left in the dark (along with the audience) he's easily tricked by Voldemort.

We've all learned an important lesson here: mysteries may be fun, but telling the truth is way safer.
