Out of This World! Er, Out of This State (Out-of-State Registration)
If you're coming here from somewhere else, and you have a vehicle that was registered in another state, you'll need to get it registered here within 30 days of your first day of residency or at a new job.
To register an out-of-state vehicle in Mississippi, you'll need:
- a completed and signed Application for Title and Application for Registration.
- out-of-state title or registration card.
- proof of insurance.
- proof of address and identity.
- whatever DPS fees are required.
You'll also need to get your vehicle inspected at a local inspection station. Get all of that taken care of and you're officially a Mississippi driver. Good luck out there—you're going to need it.
